Commercial Order Processing
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure the smooth, timely, and customer-focused processing of spare parts quotations and orders—from quotation preparation and follow-up, order entry, and coordination with internal departments through to invoicing.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter, review, and process customer orders in the ERP system.
- Clarify technical and commercial details with internal departments (e.g., Sales, Production, Purchasing).
- Monitor deadlines and ensure on-time delivery.
- Prepare order confirmations, delivery notes, and invoices.
- Process order changes and customer complaints/claims.
- Communicate with customers by phone and in writing.
- Maintain master data and order-related data (e.g., Installed Base data, SAP master data).
- Support quotation preparation and quotation follow-up activities.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery dates, lead times, and order status.
- Communicate with suppliers and follow up on outstanding requests and deliveries.
- Collaborate with AVL Purchasing to procure spare parts.

REQUIREMENTS:
Professional Requirements (Hard Skills)
- Completed commercial or technical education/training (e.g., Industrial Business Administrator, Technical Sales/Commercial Specialist).
- Understanding of technical products and processes (e.g., manufacturing, bills of materials, technical drawings).
- Experience in order processing or sales support, ideally in a technical environment.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Good command of German and English; additional languages are an advantage.
