Accounts Payable Team Leader (German speaking)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage end-to-end AP processes for high-volume or complex accounts
• Review and approve junior team members’ invoice entries or payment proposals 
• Handle escalated vendor disputes, complex discrepancies, and unmatched invoices
• Lead AP activities in month-end/quarter-end close (accruals, reconciliations, reporting)
• Prepare and analyse AP aging, GR/IR, and other performance reports
• Provide accurate input for the VMD maintaining vendor master data with strong compliance and control practices
• Execute payment runs, including urgent and high-risk payments
• Support audits and ensure adherence to SOX/controls
• Identify and drive process improvement or automation opportunities (e.g., OCR, workflows, RPA), update SOPs (standard operation procedure) or work instructions
• Perform activities reaching/keeping agreed KPIs
• Provide training, coaching, and daily support to junior staf

REQUIREMENT

• College degree
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience
• 2+ years of leadership experience Professional level of English and German
• Experience in IFRS reporting or other international GAAP´s
• Profound SAP knowledge Good knowledge
• MS Office (EXCEL and WORD) 
• Ability to work in a team

• People management skills

• Ability to recognize patterns and document them if needed
