Linux System Administrator (f/m)

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Linux System Administrator within our Central IT DevOps Team, you’ll be at the forefront of managing, maintaining and optimizing our Linux-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Linux operating systems, strong troubleshooting skills and a passion for technology. Leverage your extensive operational experience to significantly impact the efficiency and reliability of our infrastructure.
This position requires:

•    Linux and web server knowledge: The qualifications require very good knowledge and experience in system administration, especially with Linux distributions such as Ubuntu and RHEL. In addition, very good knowledge and experience in web server support in distributed systems, especially with Apache or NGINX, is necessary.
•    Container technologies and automation: The qualifications require in-depth knowledge and ideally initial experience with container technologies, especially with Kubernetes and OpenShift. Furthermore, in-depth scripting know-how, especially with Bash and Python, as well as broad knowledge and experience with configuration management and automation tools, especially with Ansible and Terraform, are required.
•    Database knowledge: The qualifications require broad database know-how and experience, especially with MySQL and PostgreSQL.
•    Professional experience and certifications: The qualifications require several years of experience in Linux and Kubernetes administration, preferably in a corporate environment or a completed technical education in the field of computer science. In addition, certifications such as RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer) or comparable certificates are an advantage.

YOUR PROFILE:

•    Proven experience as a Linux System Administrator or similar role
•    Proficiency with Linux operating systems (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat)
•    Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols
•    Experience with virtualization technologies
•    Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS)
•    Experience in cloud technologies and platforms (Azure preferred)
•    Willingness and ability to interface constructively with a global team.
•    Fluent speaking and excellent writing skills in English, German skills beneficial
•    Willingness to occasionally travel to our HQ in Graz, Austria
•    Enthusiasm for continuous learning and proactive contribution
