Backend Engineer (f/m)

Are you passionate about big data and the power it holds to drive decision-making? If so, we might have exciting opportunity for you. We are seeking for experienced Backend Engineer to join our Data Analytics Platform backend team. The backend team is responsible for development and maintaining various components on data analytics platforms and monitor behaviour of those components using cutting-edge tech stack. You will be responsible for understanding and implementing requirements that meet product and technology roadmap needs. You will be working on innovative and strategic projects in the automotive industry for various domains (fleet validation, HIL/SIL testing, ADAS, …) related to data engineering and applied data science.  

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

•    Involvement in all SW development stages, from design, build to production
•    Development of scalable and efficient data ingestion and query mechanisms
•    Development, test, release and monitor backend side of Data analytics platform
•    Ensuring robustness, performance, reliability, and stability of Data analytics platform
•    Working together with Quality assurance, frontend and data engineering teams on development of common features
•    Ensuring the know-how development and transfer as well as the continuous improvement of leading technologies and methodologies within the field of backend development
•    Proactively improve your knowledge and share knowledge within the team
•    Work with latest architectures and technologies in fast-product development

YOUR PROFILE:

•    Engineering education (BSc, MSc, MEng or PhD) in Computer Science, Informatics/Telematics, Mathematics/Statistics or Engineering Degree
•    Proven experience as a Backend Engineer with focus on Big Data
•    You bring experience with 
                        o    .NET Core and C#
                        o    MySql, Kafka, ClickHouse, ELK
                        o    HTTP/HTTPS, RESTFul APIs (JSON)
                        o    Data streaming/Messaging services/Concepts (Kafka, MQ)
                        o    Big data technologies and data architecture principles
                        o    Docker and Kubernetes
                        o    Relational databases and complex SQL queries
•    Strong focus on software quality and smooth software delivery process including the skills to review, verify, and validate the developed software code 
•    Fluent speaking and excellent writing skills in English
•    Proactive communication and being team-player in a global team, you’re ready to work independently and enjoy solving problems and learn new skills
•    Readiness for business trips in course of development projects
•    You have positive attitude, drive and you are naturally curious person
•    Preferable: 
                    o    Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Linux and scripting languages (Bash scripts) 
                    o    Educated in database technologies (SQL and Non-SQL)
                    o    Basic knowledge in cloud technologies and platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
                    o    Basic knowledge of Python
                    o    Basic knowledge of observability and traceability tools, e.g. Grafana, Loki and Prometheus
