System development Engineer

As a member of the system engineering team, you will be working on a range of projects, setting functional strategy & developping diagnostic & safety concepts related to powertrain functionalities s.a combustion, after-treatement, air-path, ...

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead studies on the safety of batteries for xHEV Hybrid vehicles and set up test plans.
• Monitor the tests and analyze the results.
• Follow regulatory developments and participate in working groups on international regulations concerning battery safety.
• Contribution in the definition of the technical policies, standards and participate in the writing of rules relating to the safety of traction batteries.
• Deliverables : 

                    Specifications and technical synthesis for Design Review

                    Validation Plan, Test Request, Instrumentation Sheet and Validation Reports

                    Standards (Procedure, Technical Policies)

YOUR PROFILE:

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in chemistry, materials, electrochemistry
• Over 2 years of proven experience in functional safety engineering, particularly in Batteries
• Familiarity with relevant functional safety standards like ISO 26262 or FMVSS, and their practical application
• Skilled in hazard analysis, risk assessment, FMEA, and fault tree analysis.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a collaborative team player.
• Effective communication skills to manage communication with the different stakeholders of the project.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
