Automotive Diagnostics Senior Systems Engineer

 YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Drafting of Functional Safety Concept and Technical Safety Concept
• Hazard Analysis Risk Assessment (HARA), Safety analyses (e.g., FMEA, FTA, DFA)
• Functional Safety Management Activities (e.g., Safety Case, Safety Plan, Status Report)
• Planning, coordination and implementation of functional safety relevant activities in customer projects from specification to validation
• Specification of requirements for safety-relevant functionalities
• Documentation and presentation of results
• Attending technical review meetings

YOUR PROFILE:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Control Engineering, and preferably Master’s and/or PhD qualifications 

• Fluent speaking and excellent writing skills in English 

• Minimum 2 years of experience of diagnostic systems in automotive powertrain applications (e.g., e-drive systems)

• Fast learner, treats change as an opportunity to learn and develop 

• Good communication, presentation and planning skills

• Willingness to frequent and long-term travel abroad

And a good understanding of at least two of the following topics:

• Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS) (ISO-14229-1) & SAE-J1979-2 OBDonUDS•E/E Architecture of Automotive Systems

• Hybrid & Electric Vehicles

• Software development and diagnostics tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, dSPACE/ETAS Tools, HIL Simulators, CANalyzer, CANoe, Candela Studio, etc.)

• Real-Time Systems Hardware and Software Design

• Automotive Powertrains (Engine, Transmissions, Batteries, Electric Machines and Power Electronics)
