Transmission Requirement Engineer

 

Your responsibilities

•System, concept & function definitions for transmissions, electrified transmissions and electrified propulsion systems (E-Axle / electric drive units EDU)
•Development, application and improvement of simulation models and plant models for the hybrid and electrical components
•Definition and evaluation of requirements for above systems, following AVL specific as well as international automotive standards (e.g. ISO26262, ASPICE, KGAS
•Specification of test cases and validation approaches, alignment with other AVL teams
•Verification of the system and simulation models within SIL, HIL & vehicle tests
•Close cooperation with other product related skill teams in AVL, such as simulation and calculation teams, software development, powertrain system and design teams

 

Your profile

•Msc Degree in Mechanical engineering, Transport engineering, Electrical engineering or similar equal
•Theoretical background of transmission, E-Axle/EDU and powertrain (in terms of both mechanics and electrical hardware)
•Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Matlab, or similar)
•Knowledge in controls engineering and model-based development with Matlab/Simulink
•Structured and organized working style
•Good communication skills in English, willingness to learn German (supported by AVL)
