Electronics - Expert Hardware Tester Control Electronics (m/f/d)

As an Expert Hardware Tester in the Controls Electronics team you will have an opportunity to develop innovative solutions for the fast evolving Automotive Electronics domain. The position is located within the Controls Electronics Hardware Development team at Regensburg in Germany. The team develops custom and series production capable controls hardware for power electronics used in hybrid and fully electric cars across the inverter platform, Battery Management System (BMS) platform, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) platform and custom applications. Access to demonstration vehicles and demo platforms enables fast testing of the concepts in real world conditions.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Elaboration of hardware test concepts and definition of test cases derived from requirements and architectures in the areas of inverter controls, DCDC converter controls, battery management systems and driver assistance systems
• Define and execute detailed specification tests
• Supporting and troubleshooting the system qualification including electrical tests, environmental tests, vibration and mechanical tests and lifetime tests
• Compliance testing of high-speed interface like USB, PCI-e, Camera, Ethernet with state-of-the-art 25GHz oscilloscope and integrated compliance software
• High voltage (up to 1000V DC) and high power testing (up to 1000V and 1000A)
• Testing safety related hardware elements according to ISO26262 methods
• Test automation based on National Instrument LabView and TestStand
• Development of EOL test specification at PCBA level and fully assembled product
• Co-responsibility for testing prototypes and series products in compliance with automotive processes
• Agile working in an interdisciplinary and international project team
• Continuous coordination with international customers from the EU, Asia, America and the rest of the world

YOUR PROFILE:

• Bachelors, Masters with relevant work experience or PhD in Electronics, Mechatronics or Physics
• 4-5 years' experience in development of Embedded Hardware /Controls electronics and testing
• Knowledge of handling EMI requirements and engineering methods to maintain compliance
• Experience in design tools such as Altium Designer, LTSpice
• Experience in handling PTC Integrity will be a plus
• Knowledge of Automotive domain viz. Design Standards, design processes will be a plus
• Good English knowledge with strong analytical and and communication skills
• Teamplayer with ability to get along with a diverse set of team members
