Senior Functional Safety Engineer

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Model-based algorithm/SW development in MATLAB/Simulink environment
- Test case development and systematic MiL/SiL/HiL testing at different levels
- Planning, coordination and implementation of functional safety relevant activities in customer projects from specification to validation
- Hazard Analysis, Risk Assessment, drafting of functional safety concepts, safety analyses (e.g., FMEA, FTA)
- Specification of requirements for safety-relevant functionalities
- Documentation and presentation of results
- Attending technical review meetings
YOUR PROFILE:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Automotive / Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Control Engineering, and preferably Master’s and/or PhD qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience
- Fluent speaking and excellent writing skills in English
- Fast learner, treats change as an opportunity to learn and develop
- Good communication, presentation and planning skills
- Willingness to frequent and long-term travel abroad
And a good understanding of at least two of the following topics:
- Hybrid Electric Vehicles and their EE sub-systems and components
- Automotive powertrains (Engine, Transmissions, Batteries, Electric Machines and Power Electronics)
- System Dynamics & Modelling, Controller Algorithm Design and Implementation
- MATLAB/Simulink, dSPACE/ETAS Tools, HiL Simulators
- ISO 26262, IEC 61508 and similar standards
- Requirements and/or quality management
