Project Manager Transmission & E-Axle Design f/m/d

Are you a dedicated Engineer and experienced within the transmission/electromobility field, who likes challenges and is motivated by motivating others? Do you enjoy working close to the technology, product, and customer? We are looking for a Project Manager with focus on Design within transmission/E-drive technologies to strengthen us and to build up our inhouse capabilities as well as contribute capabilities as well as contribute at our customer sites.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Engage in Transmission and E-Axle/EDU product team and its tasks and responsibilities 
• Responsible for design projects coordination for transmission and e-axle systems, using 3D CAD tools and prepares 2D drawings for manufacturing 
• Participating in design reviews, product development process reviews and release meetings
• Interacting with relevant teams to perform design tasks (i.e., simulation, testing, suppliers, and manufacturing) and supporting business development with design relevance
• Resolves design constraints and establishes interfaces (structural, electrical, thermal) 
• Participate in D-FMEA/S-FMEA, handle tolerance stacks and provide input to Bill of Material (BOM).
• Project lead and guidance of development teams in above technical areas
• Plans and formulates own workflow and that of others to meet specified deadlines, using and following the AVL project and product processes
• Support usage and enhancement of AVL product process in the corresponding responsibility area
• Develop new and improve existing methods and guidelines, and stay up to date with most recent technology findings within the field of drivetrains
• Support in problem solving on existing products/projects with detailed root cause analysis.
• Working in international project teams, in cooperation with different AVL departments worldwide, in direct contact with our customers.
• Close cooperation with other product related skill teams in AVL, such as design, simulation/ calculation teams and powertrain system team
• Support cross-divisional development teams
• Support sales activities together with other skill teams and affiliates

YOUR PROFILE:

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Mechatronics or Aerospace Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of design experience, preferably within transmission and/or E-drive design
• Knowledge in designing transmission and E-Drive systems, housings (castings), lubrication, and system including machine elements (gears, bearings, lubricants, clutches, hydraulic systems, etc.)
• Knowledge in hybrid systems and/or electric machine design.
• Experience from product development of transmissions E-drive
• Experience from DS Catia V5 & PTC Creo Parametric experience
• Well organized and enthusiastic team member that can work independently, guide your colleagues, and lead the work forward
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluent speaking and excellent writing skills in English (German skills preferable)
• Willing/able to travel

Annual Remuneration: Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act we are obligated to state the annual gross remuneration (full-time) for this position as a basis for negotiation: €59.000,00. We will, in any case, offer market-conforming payment taking qualifications and professional experience into account.
