Automation Technician (f/m/d) with focus on PLC for test benches
In this varied role, you will design and implement automation and safety systems for the operation of our diverse automotive testing solutions. As a technically skilled and solution-oriented expert, you will work closely with our commissioning engineers, global project teams and customers and can contribute and further develop your knowledge in all AVL test system types.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Development of AVL PLC and HMI standards and implementation of project-specific extensions for AVL test benches (via SIEMENS TIA)
- Design and implementation of interfaces to measuring and test equipment, devices and machines
- Validation of circuit diagrams, safety matrices and sequences in process engineering systems (e.g. conditioning systems)
- Creation of functional descriptions and test instructions
- Supporting commissioning engineers in project preparation, configuration, error analysis and plant optimization
- Collaboration and coordination with global project teams
YOUR PROFILE:
- Completed education (Apprenticeship, Secondary Technical College,University Of Applied Sciences, University) with a focus on mechatronics, electrical engineering or information technology
- At least 4 years of experience in PLC programming
- Knowledge of SIEMENS PLCs (at least one system family, S7-300/400 or S7-1200/1500) and HMIs (programmed in either WinCCflexible or TIA)
- Experience in programming safety controllers
- Knowledge of commissioning drive systems (SINAMICS) and industrial communication protocols (ProfiNet/Profibus, Modbus-TCP, CAN or BacNet)
- Understanding of electrical diagrams and piping and instrument flow diagrams
- Problem-solving and customer-oriented way of working
- Strong communication and social skills
- Very good knowledge of German and English
- Willingness to travel maximum 20% worldwide

Annual Remuneration: Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act we are obligated to state the annual gross remuneration (full-time) for this position as a basis for negotiation: €53.200,00. The Employee will be classified according to the Collective Agreement for Employees of Industry (Collective Bargaining Agreement of the Automotive Industry). We will, in any case, offer market-conforming payment taking qualifications and professional experience into account.
